Making their first appearance on TMR today, we’re excited to introduce you to Vaarwell. Hailing from Portugal’s capital Lisbon, the trio of Margarida Falcão, Ricardo Nagy and Luis Monteiro met while studying music production and shortly afterwards formed this band in 2014. Their production expertise comes through on new track ‘False Promises’; from the atmospheric static in the opening, to the clarity of Falcão’s vocals, to the vibrancy of the chorus. While the basis of this track is a combination of pop and electronica, is the dynamism of the textures, tempos, use of sound and silence that really sets this track apart.
